We tought Lady Anne Neville, The Kingmaker's daughter, would be safe and King Edward IV forgive her for her treason, even if she did what her father ordered her. But we were so wrong of forgetting George, Duke of Clarence and his obsession of power and money's power.
Indeed, Lady Anne was taken prisoner after the ballte of Twekesbury, sent to Coventry and then to the Duke of Clarence's house. When his younger brother Richard heard this, he became suspiscious of his brother's intention. He asked often after her but Clarence always reply she was ill and even she was heart-broker because of Edward of Westminster's death.
Hearing his brother cared of his beloved cousin, George of Clarence saw in him a rival to take away from him the Neville's Fortune. Then her own sister, Duchess Isabel of Clarence, did not help her. Anne Neville is now a prisoner, her sister and brother-in-law's prisoner.
His Grace King Edward IV does not look prone to save her from his brother. Does he afraid of her possible pregnancy?
