Even if Tudors' era is not finished, we could say during this period, England developed culturally and socially. The Tudors court played a prominent part in the cultural Renaissance taking place in Europe, nurturing all-round individual such as Cardinal Wolsey. The Tudors' period also saw the turbulence of two changes of official religion, resulting in the martyrdom of manyinnocent believers of both Protestantism and RomanCatholiscism. The fear of Roman Catholiscism induced by the Reformation was to last for several centuries and to play an influential role in history of Succession.
